The subfloor is the layer that is located deeper, then just below the screed and that - usually - covers the electrical, water and, if present, mechanical ventilation systems. Lightened subfloors perform the function of:
Filling thickness/volume underneath the flooring;
Compensation layers for the installation of floor heating panels;
Creation of insulating layers;
Creation of slopes in the roof;
Direct installation of moisture-insensitive flooring on single-layer, fluid consistency lightened subfloor;
Lightening or insulating layers for any type of floor;
Waterproofing is a complementary work to make a material, indeed, waterproof, overlapping one or more layers of different materials to protect construction elements of various kinds such as floors, walls, tanks, wells, swimming pools.
There are several options for waterproofing materials and the choice varies according to: aesthetics, thickness and weight.
For the installation of a floor and wall covering with ceramic tiles or other stone materials, it is necessary to identify the most suitable tile adhesive on the basis of:
the characteristics of the substrate and the material to be laid;
the thickness to be created, also considering the intended use of the room.
The adhesive must form a sufficiently compact structure and have elastomeric and plastic characteristics that are consistent with the foreseeable movements and deformations of the supporting surface. They must also meet the requirements of international quality and safety guidelines.
As indicated in the term, these products are used to glue the insulation panels to the substrate and to smooth them, that is, to make the so-called "base plaster" layer.
The function of a glue for thermal insulation systems is to fix the support to bear the vertical load (i.e. the weight of the system) and the horizontal load (i.e. the thrust of the wind).
On the other hand, the layer of skim coat with interposed reinforcing mesh (reinforced skim coat) ensures protection to the insulating panel and mechanical resistance to the surface, to counteract the hygrothermal and surface tensions.
The wide range of adhesives and skim coats includes gray, white, fibrous, lightened, thick products, ETA certified and compatible with all types of insulating panels in use in the market.

The insulation panels guarantee the thermal performance of the entire system, and can be of many types.
White sintered expanded polystyrene EPS or with graphite additives, with stress-relieving cuts, with improved adherence, in mineral wool or calcium silicate, in wood fiber or cork, each Grigotherm panel has its own characteristics, specific thermal conductivity and different lag times depending on the material of which it is made, all of which can be used in ETICS systems and certified for the specific application according to current European standards.
Intended for injections (even at high pressure), they can be used in all contexts where cement grout can be used.
From valved micro-piles to tie-rods, from self-drilling bars to Jet Grouting: the use of special mortars for injection is almost universal since they do not contain any significant inert material. They can also be used for the consolidation with valved tubes and Jet Grouting columns (instead of silicates).
Highly insulating bricks and blocks (e.g. Poroton) must be laid with special bedding mortars, specially made to allow you to obtain a wall with insulation characteristics that comply with current regulations.
